Bing Homepage Jigsaw Puzzle (“Puzzle it”): How to Solve It

Guide · by the BingQuiz.net editorial team ·

Many players search for a Bing homepage quiz jigsaw. What Bing actually offers is “Puzzle it”, a sliding tile puzzle made from one of Bing's photos. The tiles are scrambled around one empty space, and the instructions on the page say to click the tiles around the empty tile to move them until the picture is complete. A “Visual hint” shows the finished image, a “Skip puzzle” button lets you move on, and the page counts your steps when you finish.

Tips to finish the sliding puzzle faster

  1. Open the visual hint first and note where the sky, horizon and corners belong.
  2. Solve the top row first, left to right, and do not touch it again.
  3. On a bigger grid, solve the following rows the same way until only two rows are left.
  4. Finish the last two rows one column at a time, from left to right, cycling the remaining tiles around the gap.
  5. If a tile is stuck in the wrong place, move it out and back in; it costs a few steps but saves time.

The puzzle has also appeared as a Microsoft Rewards daily activity: a thread on Microsoft Q&A links to it from a Rewards offer and, when the pictures did not load, the advice was to clear the browser cache or try another browser. It is a separate activity from the three-question quiz, so it has no answers to look up.
