Editorial Policy and Corrections

This page explains how the content on BingQuiz.net is made, where our facts come from, how we date and update pages, and how to report a mistake. It covers the four kinds of quiz content on the site: our own quizzes, the daily quiz about the Bing homepage photo, the answers to Microsoft Rewards quizzes, and the weekly News Quiz.

1. Our own quizzes

The daily Bing Quiz, the topic quizzes (such as the Geography Quiz or the State Capitals Quiz) and the quizzes about places from the Bing homepage are written by the BingQuiz.net team with the help of AI writing tools. Every question has three options, one correct answer and a short explanation.

• Facts are checked against reference sources before a question is published: encyclopedias, official websites (for example NASA, the National Park Service, the White House, the National Archives and Microsoft Support) and established news organizations.
• We avoid facts that change quickly in evergreen quizzes. When a fact depends on a date (a record, an office holder, a name change), the question or its explanation says so.
• Wrong options are plausible but clearly wrong. We do not use trick questions or options that could also be argued to be correct.

2. Today's Bing Homepage Quiz

The quiz at the top of our Bing Homepage Quiz page is about the subject of the day's Bing homepage photo. An AI model identifies the subject from that day's official questions and writes ten questions using only the text of the matching Wikipedia article, which is linked on the page. Questions that do not pass our automatic checks are discarded. If a quiz cannot be produced, the page shows a set from our own trivia bank instead.

3. Microsoft Rewards quiz answers

The answers on pages such as Bing Homepage Quiz answers, Supersonic, Warpspeed and the Entertainment News Quiz are collected from answer reports published online after each round and checked before they go live.

• A set is only published when every question has a clear, matching answer. Otherwise the previous set stays up.
• Every set shows the date of the round it belongs to, taken from the round itself, and earlier sets stay on the page because Microsoft does not show the same round to every account on the same day.
• When Microsoft stops offering a quiz format, we say so on its page instead of showing old answers as if they were current.

4. The weekly News Quiz

The News Quiz is drafted with the help of an AI model from news reports published that week by established outlets such as NPR, the BBC, The Guardian, CBS News and NASA. The model may only use facts that appear in those reports, and every question links to the article it is based on. Before a quiz is published, it is checked automatically: the right number of questions, three different options each, and a source link that matches one of the week's articles. Past weeks stay available in the archive.

Dates and updates

Pages show the date they were last updated or the date of the quiz set they contain. We update a page when its content changes, not just to change the date.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email contact@bingquiz.net with the page, the question and, if you can, a source. We re-check the fact and correct the page as soon as the error is confirmed. If a reported answer turns out to be right, we will explain why.

BingQuiz.net is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft or Bing. The site is free and is supported by advertising shown by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in our content, and we do not accept payment to include or change questions or answers.
