Geography is the subject that comes up most often in the Bing Homepage Quiz, because the daily photo is usually a place: a national park, an island, a mountain range or a city. This quiz has 15 questions on countries, capitals, rivers, deserts and borders, each with a short explanation.
Most questions have one famous answer and two options that sound just as plausible. If you score 12 or more, you will handle most of the place questions on the Bing homepage.

Why geography dominates the Bing Quiz
The Bing homepage changes its background photo every day, and around two thirds of those photos show a place. The three homepage quiz questions usually start from that place and then widen out: which country it is in, what river or mountain range is nearby, or what the region is known for. Knowing a few facts per country goes a long way.
Capital cities are the classic trap. Many countries have a capital that is not their biggest city: Canberra rather than Sydney, Ottawa rather than Toronto, Ankara rather than Istanbul. If an option looks too obvious, check whether the question is asking for the largest city or the seat of government.
