What Is the Bing Homepage Quiz?
The Bing Homepage Quiz (also written “Bing home page quiz”) is a daily trivia challenge built around the photo on the Bing.com homepage. Each day Microsoft publishes a new background image — a national park, a wild animal, a historic building or a festival — and the quiz asks three multiple-choice questions about it. Microsoft Rewards members who are signed in earn points for completing it.
How to play the Bing Homepage Quiz
- Sign in to Bing.com with the Microsoft account you use for Microsoft Rewards.
- Open the quiz from the homepage image (Microsoft's Bing homepage guide says it appears when you move the mouse under the search box) or from its card on your Rewards dashboard.
- Answer the three questions. If you are unsure, the verified set is at the top of this page.
- Check the dashboard: the card is marked complete and the points are added to your balance.
Where to find the quiz on Bing.com
Microsoft's Bing homepage guide gives two ways in: move your mouse into the area under the search box to reveal the daily quiz, or click the headline or credit of the photo. On a phone, or if the homepage hides it, the same quiz is listed as a card on the Microsoft Rewards dashboard.
When does the Bing Homepage Quiz reset?
Bing's image feed for the U.S. market starts each new photo, and with it the new quiz, at 07:00 UTC. During daylight saving time that is:
| Time zone | New Bing Homepage Quiz |
|---|---|
| Eastern (New York) | 3:00 a.m. |
| Central (Chicago) | 2:00 a.m. |
| Mountain (Denver) | 1:00 a.m. |
| Pacific (Los Angeles) | 12:00 a.m. (midnight) |
| Alaska (Anchorage) | 11:00 p.m. the day before |
| Hawaii (Honolulu) | 9:00 p.m. the day before |
That is why a player in Hawaii sees “tomorrow's” quiz in the evening. Every set on this page carries the date of the Bing image it belongs to, so match the date and the photo rather than your local day.
Answers not posted yet? Find them in the photo
After the switch, until the new set is verified, the top of this page shows “checking now”. If you want to play straight away:
- Read the headline and credit of the photo on the Bing homepage: they name the place or animal, and the questions are about it.
- Open the information Bing gives about the image: Microsoft says each homepage quiz comes with information about the subject and links to find out more.
- Play our 10-question quiz on today's image, which covers the same subject in more depth.
- Come back for the verified answers and their explanations once the set is confirmed.
How to earn more Microsoft Rewards points
- Play daily: a missed day cannot be made up later.
- Stack quizzes: combine it with the Supersonic, Turbocharge and News quizzes.
- Keep your streak: completing your daily set several days in a row can unlock streak bonuses.
- Redeem: points can be exchanged for gift cards, Xbox content or donations to charity.

Bing Homepage Puzzle (the “Jigsaw”): How to Solve It
Many players search for a Bing homepage quiz jigsaw. What Bing actually offers is “Puzzle it”, a sliding tile puzzle made from one of Bing's photos. The tiles are scrambled around one empty space, and the instructions on the page say to click the tiles around the empty tile to move them until the picture is complete. A “Visual hint” shows the finished image, a “Skip puzzle” button lets you move on, and the page counts your steps when you finish.
Tips to finish the sliding puzzle faster
- Open the visual hint first and note where the sky, horizon and corners belong.
- Solve the top row first, left to right, and do not touch it again.
- On a bigger grid, solve the following rows the same way until only two rows are left.
- Finish the last two rows one column at a time, from left to right, cycling the remaining tiles around the gap.
- If a tile is stuck in the wrong place, move it out and back in; it costs a few steps but saves time.
The puzzle has also appeared as a Microsoft Rewards daily activity: a thread on Microsoft Q&A links to it from a Rewards offer and, when the pictures did not load, the advice was to clear the browser cache or try another browser. It is a separate activity from the three-question quiz, so it has no answers to look up.
Quiz Not Showing or Not Working?
- No quiz on the homepage: sign in and open the Microsoft Rewards dashboard, where the quiz card is always listed.
- Different questions: your country may show a different image. Our answers are for the United States edition; compare the date and topic.
- Points missing: finish all three questions, wait a few minutes and refresh the dashboard. Each quiz counts once per day per account.
- Quiz will not load: clear the cache, allow bing.com in your ad or tracking blocker, or try another browser.
